Electrifying us on Monday, BABYMETAL unleashed a thunderous new music video for Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!! 15th Night Ver. on their YouTube channel. Building on their legacy, the genre-defying Japanese band marks a 15-year milestone in Kawaii metal.
The video’s central icon is a cervical collar. Fans will recall the neck brace from the original Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!! [ヘドバンギャー！！] video. The medical device, which restricts neck movement, humorously nods to protective measures for headbanging. Each time SU-METAL reaches for it, she admires the “neck corset” for its power to turn a “baby” into a metalhead!
Notably, Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!! was their first commercial single in 2012. Now, this updated version re-records the track with additional vocals from new member MOMOMETAL, who joined as a dance and vocals member in 2023. Back in 2012, this exhilarating song fueled BABYMETAL’s meteoric rise, paving the way for the explosive global sensation, further propelled by their viral hit Gimme chocolate!! [ギミチョコ！！].
Fifteen years ago, BABYMETAL made their music video debut online with Doki Doki ☆ Morning on YouTube. Many fans and critics say their early videos marked the start of their rise to international fame. Today, the band tours around the world, with the BABYMETAL WORLD TOUR 2026 coming to Australia and European festivals.
